Calling all New Orleans artists in Dance, Music, Visual Arts, Theater, Yoga, and Culinary
Upturn Arts is seeking visual and performing arts educators (specifically dance, theater, visual arts, and music), for exciting teaching opportunities in our main studio space as well as offsite school and community contracts. The most common types of teaching artists we hire are:
Arts teachers looking for paid experiences during school breaks.
Emerging artists still in school looking for paid opportunities to teach their skill to young artists.
Professional working artists with a desire to give back as a paid part-time teacher to NOLA youth.
Active experts in an artistic field without any teaching experience with the desire to learn how.
Our primary need is to staff for the summer season with additional ongoing opportunities for holiday camps, after school classes, or other workshops throughout the remainder of the year. Please apply if you think you might be a good fit.
All Upturn Arts trained teachers start at a teaching rate of $35/hr. After completing your first contract you will be placed on our progressive teaching ladder with opportunities for rate increases after extensive continued teaching service, professional development training, and participation in other Upturn Arts related events.
At Upturn Arts we specialize in delivering high quality arts programming to New Orleans youth year-round. Through holiday and summer camps, after school programs, and additional workshops, we provide enriching experiences for children, ages 4 to 12, in a fun, safe environment, regardless of income or ability. We truly believe in Arts for All! We have a growing roster of teaching artists, but are always looking for fresh faces to give our young artists new experiences in developing their confidence and creative expression.
Early Childhood Teaching Artists Needed
Calling all New Orleans artists with experience in early childhood education
Upturn Arts is seeking visual and performing arts educators (specifically dance, theater, visual arts, and music), for exciting teaching opportunities in our main studio space as well as offsite school and community contracts. We are specifically seeking candidates who are certified early childhood educators or whom have at least one year experience working with four and five year olds.
Our primary need is to staff for the summer season with additional ongoing opportunities for holiday camps, after school classes, or other workshops throughout the remainder of the year. Please apply if you think you might be a good fit.
All Upturn Arts trained teachers start at a teaching rate of $35/hr. Early childhood teachers are eligible for up to an additional $5/hr dependent upon experience. After completing your first contract you will be placed on our progressive teaching ladder with opportunities for rate increases after extensive continued teaching service, professional development training, and participation in other Upturn Arts related events.
