For Young Artists That Enjoy Creating
Upturn Arts’ Afterschool Arts Enrichment Program is geared towards young artists who enjoy the creative process as much as the final payoff. Ideal for self-motivated students, these drop-in series challenge students to learn new artistic techniques, give and receive constructive criticism, and appreciate artistic strengths in others regardless of skill level.
Our in-house teaching artists design and facilitate activities to introduce young artists to a culture of working independently in an open studio environment. Additionally, they learn to form a social bond as a newly-formed cohort throughout each session.
By embracing the power of learning through doing, young artists take informed creative chances that allow for authentic growth and discovery.
