Anissa Hyde

Anissa is a New Orleans native and recent graduate from Louisiana State University. In Baton Rouge, she studied conservation and interpersonal communication. As a science communicator, Anissa loves to share her favorite hobby, birding. Birding is a grounding, inclusive, and enriching activity that can inspire young artists of any age.

Class Description

In our Art through Birding class, we will explore ornithology, or birding, through visual art projects. Campers will express their creativity and learn something new with projects all inspired by birds, especially native species. Examples of crafts include making birdhouses, bird puppets, bird feeders, and binoculars.
