Dominick Navarra

I am an active artist living and working in New Orleans. As an Independence, Louisiana native, I revolve around the themes of the local flora and fauna of southern Louisiana. My work reflects the colors, sounds, and smells I encounter everyday in New Orleans. I create with wood and metal, trying to utilize as many found materials as possible. I see value in repurposing objects and breathing new life into the discarded pieces.

My work is a playful kaleidoscope that manifests as: toys, sculptures, and paintings. I am deeply influenced by folk art, comic books, animation, and all things whimsical. I strive to spread a little bit of joy with each piece I create.
