Class Description

Young campers explore creativity through turning everyday recycled and found materials into imaginative artworks. Using items like paper scraps, cardboard, fabric, and safe household objects, students will learn how art can be made from almost anything, focusing on experimentation, problem-solving, and self-expression rather than perfection and learning to build fine motor skills, develop environmental awareness, and gain confidence in their ideas while creating fun, one-of-a-kind projects to take home.

Tweens in Comic & Manga Illustration Class will be taught the fundamentals of comic and manga-inspired illustration. Students will learn how to draw expressive characters, basic anatomy, facial expressions, poses, and simple storytelling through panels and scenes. Emphasis is placed on developing a personal style while understanding visual structure, character design, and narrative flow. Through guided exercises and creative prompts, students will strengthen drawing skills, visual storytelling, and artistic confidence in a supportive, skill-building environment.
