Since day one, Upturn Arts has operated with a lean team, grassroots fundraising, and a whole lot of word-of-mouth love. Our budget may be modest, but our mission isn’t. We stretch every dollar to reach the kids who need us most, and we’re able to do that thanks to a community that believes in the power of accessible arts education.

Over the years, we’ve been proud to partner with a wide range of local and national supporters who show up for our mission in meaningful ways. From providing discounted space and nourishing meals to offering student volunteers, trauma-informed training, and operational support—these partners are more than funders. They’re part of our story, and proof that New Orleans shows up for its artists.
