NEW ORLEANS — A local nonprofit is preparing to host a benefit concert to help fund scholarships for low-income families wishing to send their kids to summer camp.
Upturn Arts is hosting the Turn It Up Music Fest at Tipitina’s on Fri. March 15 from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m.

An online, silent auction is also a part of the group’s fundraising efforts.
They hope to raise $50,000, which organizers say will provide arts enrichment programming to young artists in the New Orleans Metro area.
In 2022, Upturn Arts awarded $122,000 in creARTive grants, provided 3,500 hours of arts instruction and served 4,500 meals to over 1,126 young artists in its programs.
