Teen Leadership

Calling all teens who love art, enjoy working with kids, and want to learn valuable leadership skills!

The Teen Leadership Program allows interested 13-17 year olds to transition into staff support and vital liaisons representing the young artist experience. We combine leadership skills, emotional intelligence and awareness training and exclusive arts programming to give our teens stipends when they work with us as summer camp staff support.

This is a unique opportunity for young adults to learn new art skills, meet other ambitious teens, and gain life experiences working with young artists. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to plan and host teen event nights and/or curate amazing experiences for our young artists!

Our Teen Leadership Program trains new and returning teens to serve and advocate for our young artists. Only teens that complete our training program will qualify for the summer work program. Teens are hired and paid a stipend for summer and holiday camps.

Year 1 & 2 teens must complete an application by September 22. Year 3 teens can contact Sabrina Blunt at sabrina@upturnarts.org to register. Program teens will be announced by October 1.
